Picnic 2004
Saturday, Sept 11th

Williams
Spring Park
Bailey Shelter
Mt. Pleasant, TN
The
MARC annual picnic was held again this year at Williams Spring
Park in Mt.Pleasant, Tn. on Saturday, September 11, 2004. It is
located on the south bound side of Hwy 43, close to the Maury
County Airport exit. Hamburgers and hotdogs were grilled, and
other people brought covered dishes, desserts, and other food and
drink to make this year's picnic another success. There was an
auction immediatly following the picnic. Many people donated
items to be sold to raise money for the club. All this will be
used for club outtings, events, and repairs on the repeater and
etc. I believe everyone that came by had a great time and enjoyed
an evening of great fellowship and fun. Thanks to all that
brought food, drinks, or items for the auction. We are already
looking forward to next year's !

Thoughts and thanks from tha Pres
I would like to thank everyone who attended the club picnic Saturday. I know there were some who could not make it, and I know they were with us in their thoughts, as well as cell phone land, right Bill and Linda? We had about 30 people and had great fun, food, and fellowship. Thanks to all who made this event possible thru their organizational skills. It takes some thought to put something like this together and my hat is off to all those who cooked, brought food, and items for the auction. Our auction raised about 200 dollars and I think that is wonderful. We saw many familiar faces and some new ones. I want to continue to encourage those who have not been at some of our meetings recently to block out a little time and come and visit with us. I know I can speak for the other officers in saying; we would love to see you and hear about what all you have been up to. Thanks for the volunteer signups for the civil war event at Rippavilla October 1st thru the 3rd. I can still use some more help. Just let me know. 73s and cya soon. Greg KF4ZKV.
